My aunt, Erika Cirioni, went missing New Year’s Eve 2006. For five years, we searched, did newspaper interviews, told her story on television, and tried anything we could to get the word out. We followed any leads, talked to any and everyone. We hoped for the best, but tried to prepare for the worst.
On March 25, 2012 (just a few weeks after what would have been her 32nd birthday) her remains were found buried in a hole under rocks in the middle of the woods. Her death was ruled a homicide, although a specific cause (or time) of death could not be determined.
She leaves behind two sons, now 16 and 11, who spent half their lives wondering where their mother could possibly be and will now spend the rest of their lives mourning the loss of her.
Her murder is now a cold case. There is a $50,000 reward being offered by the state of CT for any information. Someone knows something. Someone knows the truth. Someone knows her last words and what her last breaths were like. She wasn’t perfect, but she did not deserve to leave the earth this way. She deserves justice.
PLEASE REPOST. IT MAY NOT HELP, BUT IT CAN’T HURT.
